The Chesapeake Life Center of the Hospice of the Chesapeake is offering a CEU program for Social Workers about the grieving process.  The "Grief 101" seminar is being led by Roberta Rook, who has 16 years of experience as a grief counselor and bereavement coordinator at the Chesapeake Life Center.

Grief is a natural process to the death of a loved one and uniquely affects each person physically, emotionally, mentally, spirtually and socially.  This seminar will offer an introduction into the universal grief process. Participants will learn about strategies counselors use when helping someone work through grief.  They will also explore how understanding cultural differences plays a part in working with the bereaved.
